Video: Leigh Griffiths Throws a Strop at Brendan Rodgers For Subbing Him

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths was involved in a silly spat with Brendan Rodgers this evening after he was substituted against Partick Thistle.

With Moussa Dembele out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, Griffiths has recaptured his starting spot in the team, and his form in recent weeks has been nothing short of sensational.

And his impressive displays continued this evening at Firhill, with the opening goal from the penalty spot and an assist for Tom Rogic minutes later.

But when his number was raised on the electronic board just after the hour mark, Griffiths was far from happy.

He was replaced by Scott Sinclair and as he trudged onto the bench, as you can see in the clip above, he made his feelings known to Rodgers – who looked absolutely furious.

Why would Griffiths feel the need to be annoyed? Surely he’s just being wrapped in cotton wool with the Scottish Cup only 10 days away?

What do you think of the incident?
