It’s just as well Chelsea‘s Under 18s team had won all three trophies available to them before Martell Taylor-Crossdale got caught with his earrings in during a team talk.
The young Blues striker was part of the team that won the Premier League, league southern section and the FA Youth Cup this season – the first time it’s ever been done at that level.
Former Chelsea and St Johnstone midfielder Jody Morris is the manager of that team and he was at the beginning of his team talk after his side beat Reading to seal the league title earlier this month when he noticed Taylor-Crossdale already had his earrings in just minutes after full-time.
If it had been under any other circumstances, we reckon he could have been in some treble – but he got away with it as they began celebrating a league win:
Modern footballers, eh?
It was an amazing season for the Chelsea youth team and one which should offer continued hope that the Stamford Bridge’s first team could be filled with plenty of quality homegrown talent over the coming years.
