The Ibrox manager led his side to a 2-1 victory over their Glasgow rivals at Firhill thanks to two late goals from Barrie McKay and Joe Garner.
Kris Doolan had given the home team the lead in the first half with his brilliant front post header.
Partick looked good for their lead and were definite favourites for the win going into the last 10 minutes.
But substitute McKay popped up in the 83rd-minute to fire home a brilliant individual goal for the equaliser and it was followed up by Garner’s emphatic header in injury time to win it.
Caixinha, his players and the fans went crazy after the late winner – no doubt realising how fortunate they were to get away with the victory.
Yet the Portuguese boss said post-match that the result was never in doubt when asked by Rangers TV:

It was a massive win for Rangers, but we’re not sure it was deserved given they were second best to Partick for the majority of the afternoon.
Regardless, it means the Ibrox club will be playing Europa League football next season after confirming they’ll finish no lower than fourth in the Scottish Premiership table.
