7 Reasons Celtic Fans Would Love Viktor Fischer Playing in Their Hoops

Viktor Fischer has emerged among the names linked with a move to Celtic this summer.

The Danish attacker is reportedly interesting Brendan Rodgers after experiencing a very difficult first campaign with Middlesbrough.

He signed for Boro from Ajax a year ago in a £3.8million deal, but went on to make just nine appearances for the team.

And n0w Fischer is being linked with a move away from the Riverside – with Celtic believed to be at the front of the queue for his signature.

But would he be a good signing for the Hoops? Here we give you seven reasons why fans would love him:

1 – He Knows His Way to Goal

2 – He Can Assist Too

3 – He’s Scored Against Celtic Before

4 – He Won’t Be Too Expensive

Boro signed him for £3.8million and, nine appearances and a relegation on, we doubt they’d be able to demand any more than that to let him go. If Celtic could sign him for less than £4million, we imagine Rodgers and the club will be pretty happy with their work. He’s only 22 and has definite sell-on value down the line.

5 – He Seems Like Good Fun Too

Celtic fans like if their players can have fun on social media. Fischer would fit in with that.

6 – And He Might Bring His Goldfish

7 – He Fills a Hole For Celtic

With Patrick Roberts’ summer exit, Celtic need more options out wide and Fischer would help them replace the Manchester City man. He could even be an option in behind the striker, providing competition for Tom Rogic and Stuart Armstrong.
