Aberdeen Fans Are Getting Increasingly Excited About Signing Shaun Maloney

Aberdeen are being linked with a move for former Scotland midfielder Shaun Maloney, and the club’s supporters are becoming increasingly excited by the prospect.

Maloney, now 34, spent last season playing in the English Premier League with Hull City, but following their relegation it appears he may be angling for a move back home.

Although he was born in Malaysia, Maloney grew up in Aberdeen, and as he enters the twilight of his career, a move back to the Granite City might make the most sense.

Given the Dons have lost Niall McGinn and Jonny Hayes already this summer, the club’s supporters have been long overdue something to cheer, and signing Maloney would certainly be a boost to fans by the looks of things:

What do you think of the prospect of Maloney signing for Aberdeen?

Should Derek McInnes be targeting younger players, or is a bit of experience exactly what’s needed?
