Alfredo Morelos Goes on Retweeting Spree of Tweets Saying Rangers Want Him

Alfredo Morelos has been on a retweeting spree this afternoon – all but confirming that Rangers want to sign him.

It was revealed earlier this week that the HJK Helsinki striker was the latest player interesting Pedro Caixinha this summer.

The Portuguese manager has already added Ryan Jack, Bruno Alves, Fabio Cardoso and Dalcio to his squad.

But there are more on the way – including Carlos Pena, Eduardo Herrera and, now, Morelos.

The Colombian striker has been lighting up the Finnish league over the last two seasons and that form has interested Rangers.

Now, it’s not just speculation – Morelos’ Twitter activity suggests he’s aware of the interest and a deal is on the way.

Just take a look at his timeline:

This is the rest of his timeline:

So it seems like just a matter of time before Morelos is unveiled as a Rangers player – another signing that should cost the club some money.

The Ibrox club have already spent some money on Cardoso and Alves, while Pena and Herrera should come with a price too.

We spoke to English-speaking Finnish football blogger Escape to Suomi earlier in the week and he had this to say on Morelos’ cost: “HJK paid around €500k for him at the end of his loan and would be looking for at least £1million, if not more. They’re in a win-win – keep him and they get goals, sell him and make a ton – their wage bill for the year is €1.3m.”

Regardless of the cost, Rangers fans will just be delighted that another player appears on the way in – and he’s a talented one at that.
