Argentina Will Play a Seriously Weird Formation in Friendly Against Singapore

Jorge Sampaoli has been Argentina manager for all of five minutes and he’s already planning on implementing a seriously weird formation in tomorrow’s friendly against Singapore.

The former Sevilla and Chile boss is famous for his intense, pressing and innovative style of play, and Argentinians got a taste of what they can expect from his reign during his opening match in charge; a 1-0 friendly win over Brazil earlier this month.

But, apparently, things will be seriously shaken-up against the Asian minnows.

According to the Mirror, and a series of reports filtering out from South America, Sampaoli is planning on playing just TWO defenders tomorrow, which will allow him to play a whopping FIVE attackers:

To be fair, when you have that amount of world class attackers at your disposal, it’s always tempting to try and squeeze them all in.

Personally, we tip our hat to Sampaoli for actually trying it, and we’re waiting with bated breath to see how it all turns out.

Good luck, Singapore!
