Arsenal Close to Signing Aleksandr Golovin But Supporters Are Furious With the Deal

Arsenal are close to completing a deal to sign Russian international Aleksandr Golovin from CSKA Moscow, but some of the club’s supporters aren’t too keen on the deal.

The 21-year-old has been highly-rated in his homeland for several years now and already has 12 senior international caps.

It’s reported that the midfielder will cost somewhere in the region of £10 million, and he’ll apparently be sent back to CSKA on loan next season, but due to Golovin’s relatively low-key profile, and the relatively low fee, fans aren’t exactly jumping for joy at hearing the news:

OK, so, there’s absolutely no denying that pretty much nobody in the UK has heard of Golovin, or seen him play, but is that any reason to give him stick before he’s even kicked a ball for the club?

Didn’t signing unknown gems used to be Arsene Wenger’s speciality? Maybe Golovin is a star in the making?

What do you think?
