Bookies Make Celtic Joint Favourites to Sign Adnan Januzaj From Man Utd

Adnan Januzaj looks almost certain to depart Manchester United this summer, and some bookmakers are pricing Celtic amongst the favourites to sign the Belgian winger.

Januzaj has been one of United’s most highly thought of young players for many years now, but at the age of 22, it appears the Old Trafford hierarchy are tired of waiting for him to blossom into the world class player they’ve been waiting on.

He spent last season on loan at Sunderland, but after their relegation and David Moyes’s resignation, it seems almost certain he won’t be going back there.

And Betfair, via the Express,  reckon Brendan Rodgers is keeping an eye on the situation, with the Glasgow club priced at 3/1 joint favourites to secure his signature.

Leicester City, Leeds United and Aston Villa are also said to be in the running, and Real Sociedad are thought to be in the loop, but Celtic have shot to the top of the list.

Given it looks like Patrick Roberts is unlikely to return to the club this summer, could Januzaj be a like-for-like replacement? He’s surely talented enough, no?

What do you think?
