Bookies Slash Odds on Cristiano Ronaldo Returning to Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly looking to leave Real Madrid this summer – and the bookmakers reckon he could be about to re-sign for Manchester United.

The Portuguese superstar is fresh from winning his fourth Champions League winner’s medal, and the possibility of him leaving Los Blancos would’ve seemed unthinkable a week or two ago.

But revelations that the Spanish authorities want to prosecute him over alleged unpaid taxes seems to have changed the landscape somewhat.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol claims to have an inside line into Ronaldo’s camp, and he insists Real’s all-time top-scorer is sick of playing in Spain:

Of course, we have absolutely no idea if Ronaldo really wants to leave or if he’s just really annoyed about the tax investigation, but that hasn’t stopped bookmakers from pricing up his most likely destinations:

Ronaldo was as far out as 14/1 with some bookies earlier this week to re-join United, and now you get him as low as 7/4 – how do you think it’ll all pan out?
