Chris Smalling could be on the verge of a move to Everton after bookies slashed odds on the England international moving to the Merseyside club.
The Manchester United defender’s future is apparently up in the air after Jose Mourinho completed the signing of Victor Lindelof for £30.7 million from Benfica earlier this week.
And with the Toffees trying to transform themselves into a team competing for a spot in the Champions League, SkyBET have slashed odds on Ronald Koeman making a move for the 27-year-old.
Everton have been made 2/1 favourites to capture Smalling’s signature, with Arsenal priced at 6/1 to move for the former Fulham centre-back.
On top of Lindelof, United already have Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Daley Blind and Axel Tuanzebe who will all be competing with Smalling for a starting berth at centre-back next season – so, would a move to Everton maybe suit Smalling better?
