Celtic New Boy Kundai Benyu ‘Likes’ Edited Image of Himself Tackling Kenny Miller

Celtic completed the signing of Kundai Benyu from Ipswich Town yesterday and it hasn’t taken the youngster long to make his mark on social media.

Benyu moves to the Scottish treble-winners on a three year contract and is expected to link up with the squad in Austria for training camp.

The 19-year-old could already be a firm favourite among his new teammates though, as he liked a Photoshopped image of himself tackling Rangers striker Kenny Miller.

The actual challenge was made by Hoops defender Jozo Simunovic during last season’s Old Firm clash, a tackle which earned plaudits from Celtic fans but was heckled as overly aggressive by the Rangers contingent:

Whether Benyu completely grasped the meaning of the Tweet is unclear, however, it’s certainly a strong way of announcing yourself on the scene.

Benyu failed to make a senior appearance for Ipswich last season, as he was loaned out to Aldershot Town and netted five goals in 23 appearances.
