Dani Alves Thanks Juventus and Confirms His Departure on Instagram

Dani Alves has confirmed he’ll leave Juventus during this summer, and it looks as though all roads head to Manchester City and his former boss Pep Guardiola.

The 34-year-old right-back had one more year on his contract in Italy, but has taken up the option to cancel it just a year into the deal, and as we told you previously, he’s been heavily linked with City given his successful spell with Guardiola at Barcelona.

He took to Instagram this evening to thank the staff at the Italian club before confirming his departure and insisting any move isn’t about money:

After finishing a disappointing third in his first season back in the Premier League without any silverware, Guardiola knows he needs to be more successful this season – but will Alves help him secure the league title and perhaps even glory in the Champions League.

What do you think of Alves’s goodbye speech?
