It looked like it might be the end of the road for Paul Simpson and his junior Three Lions when the Italians went ahead after just three minutes, as Riccardo Orsolini took advantage of some slack defending.
The England’s never say die attitude shone through and new Liverpool signing Solanke found the net either side of Ademola Lookman’s goal to ensure a 3-1 victory.
After watching his performances throughout this tournament, the club hierarchy at Chelsea might well regret letting a player of Solanke’s calibre leave so easily:

He might still be only 19-years-old, but Solanke definitely possesses an ability to be in the right place at the right time, and already knows how to ruthlessly kill off opponents.
England will now face Venezuela in Sunday’s final – but will they become Under-20 world champions?
