Scott Allan’s Loan Move From Celtic to Dundee Prompts Strong Reaction From Fans

Scott Allan‘s career took another unexpected twist this afternoon when the midfielder completed a shock loan move from Celtic to Dundee for the forthcoming season.

Now 25, Allan is probably well aware that he needs to be playing first-team football, and that looks unlikely to happen at Parkhead after Brendan Rodgers sent him off on loan to Rotherham United last season.

Along with Roarie Deacon, Allan has become Neil McCann’s first summer signing, and will wear the no.10 shirt at Dens Park, but some supporters see the move as a step down for Allan.

Having been highly-rated and signed by Roy Hodgson at West Brom as a youngster, and after winning the Championship Player of the Year Award back in 2015, it seemed like Allan was destined for big things.

But it seems he won’t be making the grade at Celtic, prompting a number of mixed reactions on social media:

What do you think of the move?
