Liverpool Release a New Limited Edition BLUE Away Shirt Costing £100

Football fans often make themselves feel better about the lack of action over the summer by investing a few quid in their team’s new kit, but Liverpool fans will need deep pockets to be able to afford the club’s new limited edition away shirt.

The Anfield giants have recently revealed their retro home shirt, and their green and white away strips, which will be worn throughout the 2017/18 Premier League and Champions League campaigns.

But American manufacturers New Balance have also unveiled this cheeky little blue number, claiming the design pays homage to the club’s first-ever strip back in 1892.

That’s why only 1,892 will be made available to the public and will cost a whopping £100 a go.

Apparently, before switching to red in 1896, Liverpool wore blue and white halves for their first four years, hence the new design.

It remains to be seen if the special strip will be worn by the first-team but we’re guessing it probably won’t be.

What do you think of it, and would you part with £100 for it?
