Man City & Rangers Fans React to Mark Allen’s Move to Ibrox as Director of Football

Rangers have finally appointed a Director of Football, with Manchester City‘s Mark Allen moving to Ibrox to take up the role, and now fans of both clubs have been reacting to the news tonight.

The Glasgow side have been in the market for a DoF ever since last season, and were constantly linked with a move for Southampton’s Ross Wilson.

It was initially thought Rangers would seek to fill the role before appointing a new manager but Allen arrives at the club with Pedro Caixinha already well into rebuilding his squad.

According to fan website Man City Watch, Allen has overseen “incredible” progress at City’s youth teams, with the club winning trophies in every single age group in recent years.

It seems he’ll be missed at the Etihad, and Gers fans seem delighted to have him on board:

What do you think of the news? Is Allen the right man for the role?
