Manchester United Fans Are Pining For Javier Hernandez to ‘Come Home’

Manchester United fans watched Javier Hernandez score a brilliant goal for Mexico this afternoon, and then started demanding the striker returned to the club.

The 29-year-old was leading the line for Mexico in the Confederations Cup group match against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal, and his brilliant bullet header in the first-half showed the kind of guile, movement and skill that has been lacking up-front for the Red Devils in recent years.

Hernandez was a fan favourite during his first spell at Old Trafford between 2010 and 2015, but was sold by Louis van Gaal, who clearly didn’t share the supporters’ same enthusiasm.

He’s currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga, but if Jose Mourinho checks social media, he’ll see what everybody is pining for:

During last season, Mourinho claimed Hernandez wouldn’t have been sold on his watch, and with United in the market for a striker, could he really come back?

What do you think?
