Celtic’s Nir Biton Looks Pretty Gutted to Be Back in Glasgow

Celtic midfielder Nir Biton has checked back into Glasgow to get stuck into pre-season training but it’s probably fair to say he doesn’t look exactly thrilled about it.

The Israel international was given slightly longer off than some of his team-mates after playing his part in his country’s matches against Moldova and Albania earlier this month.

But as he shared to his followers on his Instagram story this afternoon, Biton would probably rather be anywhere else:

Biton lost his place in Brendan Rodgers’ first-team last season due to Stuart Armstrong’s outstanding form, and his future in Glasgow seems far from certain.

As we’ve told you in the past, Biton hasn’t always been flavour of the month amongst the club’s supporters, so is this the kind of message he should be posting?

Shouldn’t he be excited ahead of a new campaign, especially after the last one? Or are we just being a bit over sensitive?
