Rangers Fans React to News Andy Halliday Could Be Heading to Azerbaijan

Andy Halliday looks to be heading for the Rangers exit door – with FK Gabala from Azerbaijan apparently closing in on a season-long loan deal.

The midfielder started his career at the club he supported as a boy really well under Mark Warburton, but has fallen out of the picture under Pedro Caixinha, with the Portuguese coach keen to freshen up the middle of the park.

As we told you earlier today, the 25-year-old former Middlesbrough and Blackpool man was left out of Rangers’ squad for the first qualifying stage of the Europa League this week, and the Daily Record are claiming Gabala will provide the escape route.

He endured a bit of a torrid time last season, but which Rangers player didn’t? It seems most supporters are wishing Halliday nothing but the best:

It’s only a season-long loan deal which is being mentioned – so could we see Halliday in a Rangers shirt again in the future?

What do you think?
