Spanish Media Reckon Zlatan Ibrahimovic is About to Join Atletico Madrid

For a while it’s looked like Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s career in Europe was dead and buried but the Spanish media are now claiming the Swedish superstar is about to sign for Ateltico Madrid.

The 35-year-old former Barcelona striker has been out injured ever since rupturing his ACL during a Europa League tie with Anderlecht back in April whilst at Manchester United, and the Red Devils have already formally released the towering forward.

Zlatan has promised he’ll be back after his recovery, and a stint with a cash-rich side in either the Far East of America looked like making the most sense, but according to Spanish newspaper Sport, he could be heading to Madrid.

As you might be aware, Atletico can’t sign any new players until their transfer embargo runs out on January 1 2018, just as the winter transfer window opens – and Zlatan should be nearing full fitness.

Zlatan, Griezmann and even Torres in attack? THAT is a mouthwatering prospect.

Do you think it could happen?
