The North London side have finished second and third in the last two domestic seasons, and at points last season Mauricio Pochettino’s men looked every inch the possible champions.
But having fallen just short, Kane wants to make it up to the club’s supporters by personally improving on his 35 goals from last season.
Having scored eight goals in the final three Premier League games in May, Kane said, speaking via the Evening Standard: “[50 goals] It’s a target I would love to get to. Hopefully I can stay fit for the whole season next season.
“That’s always the aim and 50 goals is something I would love to achieve.
“It was a very good year this year. There is plenty still to work on and improve, but I’m looking forward to having a break and then going again.”
The 23-year-old also scored in both of England’s two matches against France and Scotland last week, but the last person to even come close to scoring 50 goals during a domestic season in England was Cristiano Ronaldo, who managed to nab an impressive 44 in 2007/08/.
But can Harry Kane go one better? Will he really score 50 goals next season?
