Alexis Sanchez produced a ridiculous assist during Chile’s 1-1 draw with Russia this evening.
The Arsenal attacker wasn’t in the starting XI for the friendly at the VEB Arena in Moscow earlier, but was a 55th-minute substitute for the Copa America champions.
Chile are preparing for the Confederations Cup kicking off in Russia next week and you’d expect Sanchez will play every game for the country at that tournament.
So it’ll be good for them to see Sanchez set up Chile’s goal in the game a minute after coming on, brilliantly twisting and turning before playing a superb ball over the top for Mauricio Isla to finish:

That is quality from Sanchez – but unfortunately wasn’t to be the assist for the winning goal.
Russia hit back 10 minutes later through Viktor Vasin’s goal and the game ended 1-1 – a fair result after a tight game.
Chile play Romania on Tuesday before kicking off their Confed Cup campaign against Cameroon a week on Sunday.
