Video: Ex-Man Utd Striker Javier Hernandez Scores Bullet Header Against Portugal

Former Manchester United hero Javier Hernandez showed his old club exactly what they’re missing this afternoon, by scoring one of his trademark headers for Mexico against Portugal.

The striker known by his alias ‘Chicharito’ led the line for the Mexicans in the opening Confederations Cup match against Cristiano Ronaldo and co in Russia.

And after Ronaldo had brilliantly set-up Portugal’s opening goal, it was left to Mexico to chase the game.

You felt they might well need something a bit special to break down the stubborn Portuguese defence, but Chicharito managed to come up with just that, as he threw his entire body at sumptuous Carlos Vela cross:

Jose Mourinho said during last season that he never would’ve sold Hernandez from United, and on form like this, you’d be inclined to agree with him.

Could we perhaps see him back at Old Trafford next season? Only time will tell.

What do you think of the goal?
