Video: Victor Lindelof Gives His First Official Interview as a Manchester United Player

Victor Lindelof is finally a Manchester United player, and the Swedish defender is clearly delighted to finally be able to call himself a Red Devil.

As we’ve told you previously, the 22-year-old has been constantly linked with a big-money move to United since the January transfer window, and the club confirmed they had agreed terms on a deal worth £30.7 million with Benfica earlier this week.

In his opening exchange with United’s in-house TV station MUTV, Lindelof revealed he’s talked to Jose Mourinho about what’s expected of him on the pitch, but has yet to chat with his former international colleague Zlatan Ibrahimovic:

It’s thought Lindelof’s arrival will mean he’ll partner Eric Bailly at centre-back as the club’s first-choice defenders – and it could mean the end for the likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

For a young player he seems pretty confident – but what do you think of his arrival? How will he fare in the Premier League?
