The new season is only a couple of games old for Aberdeen, but Ryan Christie has already been showing Dons fans just how good a player he is – and Celtic fans want him back in the Hoops.
The 22-year-old spent the second-half of last season on-loan at Pittodrie and was such a big hit that Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes asked to keep him for the forthcoming campaign as part of the deal to take Jonny Hayes to Parkhead.

Christie was a standout performer in Aberdeen’s Europa League qualifier against Apollon Limassol, and even chipped in with an important goal – taking his total tally for the Dons to an impressive nine goals in 18 appearances from midfield.
Given Celtic are lacking something of a creative spark at the moment – and couldn’t buy a goal against Rosenborg earlier this week – some supporters are starting to wonder why Christie has been loaned out at all:
Can we recall @ryanchristie2 ?He would make a difference to the squad.

So, are we all in agreement that it was a bit stupid loaning Ryan Christie out for an entire season?

Ryan Christie has stated this season on fire.
I wonder if he's perhaps a better option than, or a challenger to James Forrest.
Thoughts? https://t.co/hnPJLzJIpC

I couldn't care less what foot Ryan Christie uses, he should've been in that Celtic team last night not James Forrest.

What do you think of the decision? Is a season of regular football important for Christie’s development?
Or should Celtic have held onto him?
