Alexis Sanchez is apparently trying to avoid returning to Arsenal training this weekend but the club’s fans are refusing to believe his excuse.
The Chilean forward has been constantly linked with a move away from the Emirates for several months now, with his Gunners contract set to enter its final year and a renewal looking extremely unlikely.
Indeed, Sanchez has dropped several hints in public about wanting to leave for a new team, with the likes of Manchester City and PSG quoted with an interest in the 28-year-old.
After competing in the Confederations Cup for his country earlier this summer, Sanchez has been given an extended summer break, but is due to meet up with his Arsenal team-mates this Sunday.
But earlier today, he posted to his Instagram account claiming to be ‘sick’:
