Arsenal Join Chelsea, AC Milan, West Ham and Marseille in Being Linked With Moussa Dembele

Arsenal have joined Chelsea, AC Milan, West Ham, Marseille and a host of other clubs in being linked with Moussa Dembele.

The Celtic striker is one of European football’s hottest properties after a standout debut season in Scotland.

He scored 32 goals in all competitions last term, including five in the Hoops’ Champions League campaign.

And the 21-year-old striker has definitely caught the attention of other teams, with Chelsea the first major club to be linked with him.

Dembele didn’t leave in January as stories about a £40million move to Stamford Bridge did the rounds, but the speculation has carried on into the summer with a number of other teams now mentioned with a move for him.

We’ve had AC Milan, West Ham and Marseille as some of the more noticeable ones before today’s story that Arsenal want to sign him IF Alexis Sanchez leaves the club this summer.

That’s according to – but we find it difficult to believe.

Arsenal have already spent £46.5million to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon so would they have the need to add Dembele now? He’s an out-and-out striker and wouldn’t be a direct replacement for Sanchez, who operates more from wide than through the middle.

On top of that, the Gunners would have to spend upwards of £20m to get Celtic to sell and the club’s transfer policy hasn’t usually led to signings like that over recent years.

Celtic fans – what do you think? Could Dembele to Arsenal be on?
