It appears Arsenal have grown tired of speculation linking defender Hector Bellerin with a dramatic return to Barcelona.
The Spain international struggled for form last season, as the Gunners bundled out of the top four and failed to secure Champions League football for the first time in 19 years.
And Bellerin’s poor return has done little to quell rumours that Barcelona are looking to bring the talented 23-year-old back to Catalonia, as they rebuild under new manager Ernesto Valverde.
Although it appears increasingly unlikely that Barca will get their man, as the Spanish media have published a story this afternoon claiming the Gunners have sent a physical ‘hands off’ letter to the La Liga giants.
The report, published in Marca, claims Arsenal have “never” been willing to entertain a bid for Bellerin despite the player being eager to sign.
And most importantly for Arsenal fans, the story goes on to confirm that this latest knock back has warded off Barca, who’s attention has now turned to Benfica defender Nelson Semedo.
