The Portuguese midfielder has only spent one season in Germany after signing for the club in a £31million deal last summer.
He made just 25 appearances last term, playing as a substitute the majority of the time and that looks unlikely to change this campaign with Carlo Ancelotti boasting a plethora of quality midfield options.
So it’s understandable that Sanches might be interesting other teams – with Chelsea linked over recent weeks.
Now Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Bayern CEO Rummenigge has confirmed that Chelsea enquired about Sanches after the teams faced off in a friendly in Singapore earlier this week:
Bayern Munich CEO confirms Chelsea interest in Renato Sanches. Says Conte asked Ancelotti about him after Bayern v Chelsea in Singapore

Imagine a Chelsea midfield of N’Golo Kante, Tiemoué Bakayoko and Sanches? That would be very impressive!
Rummenigge has already said that Sanches could leave the club on a loan, but would the Stamford Bridge club be interested in doing a deal like that? We’re not so sure.
Chelsea fans – would you welcome Sanches?
