Barcelona defender Gerard Pique appeared to hint last night that Neymar will reject a move to PSG last night… and Jordi Alba doesn’t think he was joking.
PSG are reportedly willing to pay Neymar’s release clause – a whopping 222 million euros.
And while the Brazil international has remained silent on the speculation, there is a sense among some sources that Neymar will in fact leave the La Liga giants this summer.
However, Pique appeared to pour cold water on the story last night, after he uploaded a post captioned “Se queda,” which translates as “he stays.”

And Alba has since thrown his weight behind his team’s centre-back, claiming while he doesn’t know if Neymar will stay or not, he doesn’t think Pique was joking.
Speaking to ESPN, Alba said: “You will have to ask Pique about that message.”
He added, “I don’t know what he’s spoken with Neymar about. I’ve not spoken with [Neymar] about this subject. I can’t tell you anything [about the post] because I don’t know if they’ve spoken about it. I don’t think it’s a joke, I hope not.
“Neymar is a Barcelona player until proven otherwise; he’s relaxed. There’s a lot of talk about all this, but we’re calm about [the situation] in the dressing room. He’s really happy here.”
What do you think, will Barcelona allow one of their best players to leave this summer?
