Andy Murray crashed out of Wimbledon today in the quarter-final after a 3-2 defeat to Sam Querrey on Centre Court.
The Scot went 2-1 up before injuring himself during a tie-break, leaving Querry to thrash him 6-1 6-1 in the remaining sets.
It means he will now not have the chance to defend his crown when the final takes place on Sunday.
Murray was speaking to the press after his defeat today where he confirmed his hip injury.
However, it was a comment made by an American reporter that grabbed all the headlines as the day went on.
One reporter spoke to Murray after the game and asked for his thoughts on Querry becoming “the first US player to reach a major semi-final since 2009”.
That was, of course, relating to Andy Roddick’s incredible five-set thriller final against Roger Federer.
However, the Williams sisters have of coursed ruled the tennis world for the majority of the 21st century and Murray was quick to point that out to his interviewer – much to the delight of mum Judy.
