Junior Team Tynecastle FC Celebrate Win v Rangers With ‘Six First Team Players Playing’

Junior team Tynecastle FC beat a Rangers Under 20s team today that they claim included six first team stars.

The East of Scotland League outfit went up against a Gers youth team in a pre-season friendly at Auchenhowie this afternoon and would have no doubt approached the game knowing it would be tough.

The challenge would have been even harder when seeing the team lines, which they claim included several first team stars from Pedro Caixinha’s squad.

But they managed to grab a 2-1 win courtesy of goals from Ryan Malcolm and Euan Greig:

And after the game they tweeted:

First team manager Steven Vinter went on to add more on the Rangers team that was played:

Both Michael O’Halloran and Harry Forrester are out of favour with Caixinha while Myles Beerman is a young player who may spend the majority of the season sitting on the bench as back-up.

But, surely with those players included, Rangers’ youth team should be beating a junior team in a friendly?
