Former Ajax midfielder Nouri suffered “severe and permanent brain damage” after collapsing during a preseason friendly game in Austria earlier this summer.
It’s understood doctors were “cautiously optimistic about his recovery” but the 20-year-old remains in hospital.
And Boateng has clearly been touched by Nouri’s story.
The former AC Milan and Portsmouth star took to social media last night to confirm he will pay tribute to Nouri by wearing a shirt emblazoned with the youngster’s name and number:

Nouri fell to the ground 70 minutes into a game against Werder Bremen on July 9.
He was airlifted to hospital and put into intensive care, however, results showed that his brain was being starved of oxygen and had suffered heart rhythm problems during the game.
