Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has apparently hinted that he’ll be fit for the club’s Champions League qualifier against Rosenborg next week, with the Hoops’ European hopes hanging in the balance.
Griffiths missed last night’s first-leg against the Norwegians in Glasgow after picking up a suspension in the previous round against Linfield, but he was suffering from with a calf strain anyway, and his fellow striker Moussa Dembele also missed out due to a hamstring injury.
The lack of an out-and-out attacker saw Brendan Rodgers men struggle to break down their opponents, with the match finishing 0-0.
Tom Rogic was deployed as an emergency forward last night but Celtic supporters will be desperate to see Griffiths back leading the line for the return match in Trondheim, and the Scotland international has been hinting he could be in the running on Instagram:
After such a frustrating night, we reckon Griffiths is hinting that he could well be fit enough to save the day next week – but what do you think?
