Liverpool Welcome Boss Jurgen Klopp Back To Training With Banners and Balloons Celebrating His Birthday

With the early stages of European football back on the calendars, it’s only a matter of time until teams across the continent get back to business.

The English Premier League is due to return next month with opening fixtures taking place on August 12th after a dramatic end to last season.

And teams are beginning to return to pre-season training with Liverpool heading back to Melwood today as they prepare for a campaign involving Champions League football next season.

The Reds sealed a fourth-placed finish on the final day of the season with a 3-0 win over relegated Middlesbrough, pipping Arsenal to the final remaining Champions League spot.

But boss Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to go one better as he aims to secure the Anfield club’s first league title in 28 years.

The former Dortmund boss was welcomed back to training today with banners and balloons as the club wished him a belated happy 50th birthday.

Klopp recently smashed the Reds’ transfer record after bringing in former Chelsea ace Mohamed Salah from Roma.
