Manchester United have unveiled their new third kit for the season ahead.
The new release will see the club wearing a grey strip for the first time in more than 20 years.

The last grey kit worn by United was under Sir Alex Ferugson back in the 1995/96 season during a 3-1 defeat to Southampton.
During that infamous game, Fergie’s side trailed 3-0 at half-time before emerging for the second half wearing a completely different blue and white strip.
It emerged the reason for the switch was that the players were struggling to see each other due to the grey-coloured kit.
But that didn’t stop United chiefs from going ahead this time round after the new strip was designed by a fan.
However, a number of Red Devils remain unconvinced on Twitter and have dragged up their bad memories from the past:
Remember the last grey kit Utd wore? Got spanked by Southampton cos the players couldn't see each other ?

I don't like the fact that the only thing that is not grey is the Chevrolet logo
Same thing with the second kit

Divided between the fans old enough to remember the last grey kit and the ones that aren't old enough.

A new grey kit. What's the worst that can happen? ???

Our third kit is going to take some getting use to. It looks like a regular top rather than a football kit. At least make the shorts grey.

Are we honestly risking a grey kit again https://t.co/yhxKIiwdCE

Last time they had a grey kit they lost 6-3 to Southampton right? Horrible colour for a kit.

The @ManUtd third kit is the worst. It's a boring grey Chevrolet shirt. I wish it wasn't fan designed cause I like that idea! Poor result.

Jose Mourinho’s men continued their impressive pre-season form with a 2-0 win over rivals Manchester City in Houston last night.
New signing Romelu Lukaku netted the first before youngster Marcus Rashford sealed the win for United.
The Europa League winners will now take on Champions League holders Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup Final on Tuesday before a friendly against fellow La Liga giants Barcelona a few days later.
