After winning the Scottish Championship at the first attempt, Lennon has been spending the summer rebuilding his Hibernian side for the Scottish Premiership, but there now appears to be doubt over whether he’ll even be at Easter Road on the first day of next season.
The ex-Bolton and Celtic coach has been linked to the Preston job by the Lancashire Evening Post following Simon Grayson’s decision to leave and take the Sunderland job.
But we know Lennon likes indulging in a bit of Twitter every now and again, and even the quickest glance would show him how unenthusiastic the supporters are for him to be appointed:
I would be furious if we appointed Neil Lennon.#Pnefc

Neil Lennon leaves Bolton with the club 11 points from safety at foot of the table with nine games left to play.
Do we want him at Deepdale?

You get the gist.
But why is there such push-back towards Lennon? Sure, things at Bolton didn’t go well, but the club was in an almighty state of the park.
What do you think of the reaction?
