Reporter Clarifies Worrying Charly Musonda Exhaustion Tweet

A reporter has cleared up a tweet he sent about Charly Musonda collapsing with exhaustion after an Antonio Conte sprinting session.

The Belgian youngster is out in Singapore along with the Blues first team squad as they continue their pre-season tour of Asia.

He didn’t play in their opening friendly against Arsenal at the weekend after picking up an injury.

But Musonda is on the training pitch for Chelsea and working on his fitness ahead of getting some game time in the team.

The Evening Standard’s Simon Johnson is out in Singapore following the team and watched training in the National Stadium earlier.

He shared a picture of Musonda on the ground and wrote that he’d fallen with exhaustion during a running session:

As you can see, that tweet has gained a bit of traction among Chelsea fans on Twitter – and there was genuine worry about Musonda’s health.

But Johnson has clarified the tweet by saying the winger is fine and got back to his feet after a few seconds:

So Musonda is fine and hasn’t really collapsed in training – so fans could see him in action in some friendlies in the coming weeks.

Conte’s men will play against Bayern Munich tomorrow and Alvaro Morata should line up in blue for the first time in that one.
