Adnan Januzaj completed a £9.8 million move to Real Sociedad on Wednesday, as the Belgium winger called time on his Manchester United career.
And Jose Mourinho’s loss definitely appears to be Soiedad’s gain, as the 22-year-old revealed the extent of his warm welcome on Instagram.
Januzaj burst onto the scene during David Moyes‘ turbulent season in charge at Old Trafford, quickly becoming a mainstay in the Scotsman’s struggling side.
However, as Moyes departed and Louis Van Gaal took over, Januzaj’s appearances in a United shirt became a rarity.
He was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund and then to Sunderland, with neither move proving a major success.
In a bid to restart his career, Januzaj has decided to relocate to Spain’s La Liga… and going by the reception afforded by the Sociedad fans, he’s definitely made the right choice:
At such a young age and with plenty of experience to fall back on, time is definitely on Januzaj’s side to prove United made a mistake in letting him go.
