Video: Alvaro Morata Gives First Interview After Touching Down in London

Alvaro Morata has told how Chelsea is the best club in his first interview after arriving in London this morning.

The Spanish striker has flown into the city to seal a reported £60million move from Real Madrid.

He had to play back up for the majority of last season at the Santiago Bernabeu and is now on his way to Chelsea to get more first team football.

So you can understand Morata’s enthusiasm ahead of signing for the English Premier League champions.

Speaking to Sky Sports News, Morata, per skysports.com, said: “This is the best club. Antonio Conte is one of the best coaches in the world and I’m so happy to work with Antonio.”

He went on to add: “[It’s] one of the best leagues in the world and I’m so happy to be here.

“I spoke with Azpilicueta and he told me everything is OK and he found it something easy.”

Morata’s English isn’t great so the Spaniard didn’t have much to say when asked by Sky Sports News, but his words should make for interesting reading to Chelsea fans.

Now the clubs have agreed a fee for his transfer, it shouldn’t be long until Chelsea parade Morata as their newest signing – capping a good week which started with Antonio Conte signing a contract extension at the club.
