Dominic Solanke’s first ever goal for Liverpool offered another sign of what he could bring to the club.
The English youngster made the controversial decision earlier this summer to move from Chelsea to Anfield in the hope of getting regular first team football.
And, based on pre-season, it looks like he’s going to get that under Jurgen Klopp.
Solanke played in their opening friendly against Tranmere before getting a run out against Wigan in the game after. He didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet in either game, but did hit the target after coming off the bench in today’s game against Crystal Palace in Hong Kong.
Shortly after joining the action at 0-0, Solanke turned at the edge of the box and belted the ball beyond Wayne Hennessey to make it 1-0:

Liverpool fans will be delighted to see Solanke hit the net early on in his Anfield career and more of that will be expected this season.
There’s no guarantee that Daniel Sturridge will start as the team’s number nine while Roberto Firmino has been unconvincing there before so maybe Solanke is the ideal fit for Jurgen Klopp’s explosive attack?
