The Nigerian striker ripped apart the Belgian league with KAS Eupen last season and earned a £7million summer move to Goodison Park off the back of that.
But the Toffees had no intention of throwing him into their starting XI straight away and instead sent him out on loan to Anderlecht back in Belgium.
Teaming up with Łukasz Teodorczyk, who was joint top scorer alongside Onyekuru in the First Division last term, much will be expected from the on-loan Nigerian.
And Onyekuru got his career there off to the perfect start by bagging a goal in his first game.
Anderlecht beat Lierse 2-0 in a friendly yesterday and it was the former Eupen man who got their second goal of the game:

If Onyekuru can continue developing in the way he is, it won’t be long before he’s in the Everton team scoring their goals.
Ronald Koeman lost Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United earlier this summer, but added Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez to his squad so goals shouldn’t be an issue for Everton this season.
