We all know how high-octane Jurgen Klopp’s style of football is, and the German puts a lot of time, preparation and effort into his pre-season training camps – which, to be honest, look absolutely brutal.
Unless your James Milner, of course.
The ex-England international was joined by more of his first-team stars at the club’s Melwood training centre this week, as Klopp and fitness coaches ramp things up ahead of the new season.
In this ‘unprecedented access’ clip, the Liverpool players take part in a Lactate Run challenge, which basically test who can keep doing laps of the pitch for the longest without, well, giving up or collapsing:

Personally, we would have vomited after lap three, to be honest.
But Milner looks in good shape, eh? With an engine like that, perhaps he’s a bit wasted at left-back?
