The Scottish pair are summer signings for Mark Warburton’s Forest side and much will be expected of them this season after doing well north of the border.
Cummings will be expected to score goals after netting 71 times in 150 appearances during a four-season spell at Hibs.
And he’s got off to a decent start, scoring in yesterday’s friendly against League Two outfit Mansfield.
It was a great goal, which showed everything that’s good about Cummings as a striker – and something fans should see plenty of this season after the sale of previous first-choice striker Britt Assombalonga.
McKay also got some game time yesterday, coming off the bench to make his second appearance for the club after his move from Rangers.
And McKay was in amongst it straight away, playing a vital pass in the build-up to Apostolos Vellios scoring Forest’s third goal of the afternoon.
You can see both in the highlights of yesterday’s game:
Forest will play Girona and Burnley in two more friendlies before kicking off their campaign against Millwall in the Championship.
