The Scottish football season kicked off this weekend with the Betfred Cup and a load of games came today after Kilmarnock played Ayr last night.
Motherwell were in action against Queen’s Park at Hampden in today’s televised game and they put on a show to kick off the campaign.
Despite going in at the break level at 1-1, the Premiership side stepped it up a notch in the second half and fired in four goals to win 5-1.
Moult didn’t start the game, but was brought on in the 76th minute and needed just nine minutes to get his goal – a beautiful free-kick to complete the scoring:

That’s the kind of quality Motherwell will be wanting from Moult this season – but they might go without as he continues to be linked with a move away from Fir Park.
Aberdeen have had a failed bid for him and he spoke in midweek about being very grateful for the interest, but Motherwell appear to value him higher than any bids that have been tabled this summer.
No doubt every Well fan will be hoping he stays and can score more goals for them throughout the coming campaign.
