Video: Myziane Maolida Scores Beautiful Solo Goal For Lyon v Celtic

Myziane Maolida scored a beautiful solo goal against Celtic in Lyon‘s friendly in Glasgow this afternoon.

The Lyon youngster was named in the starting XI for his side and repaid the faith shown in him by Bruno Génésio with an impressive performance.

His goal was just the icing on the cake, beating three players before firing beyond Conor Hazard:

Maolida hasn’t made a competitive appearance for Lyon yet, but this goal shows that won’t be long in changing once the Ligue 1 campaign kicks off.

As for Celtic, they’ll be disappointed in the result – they lost 4-0 – but it was a much-changed team for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

He named new boys Jonny Hayes and Olivier Ntcham in his starting XI while a host of young players were given an opportunity to play.

But the performance wasn’t up to the usual standard for Celtic and they’ll be expected to improve dramatically when at full strength against Linfield in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
