Video: Niko Kranjcar Scores Stunning Free-Kick v Marseille

Niko Kranjcar scored a stunning free-kick for Rangers in their friendly against Marseille.

The Croatian playmaker was in the starting XI for Pedro Caixinha’s side as they took on the Ligue 1 giants at Ibrox this afternoon.

And the game turned out a lot better than the midweek friendly defeat to St Johnstone at their Auchenhowie training base.

Valere Germain opened the scoring for the visitors on the 63rd minute, but Rangers were back on level terms 11 minutes later when Kranjcar curled a free-kick into the top corner:

How good is that?

Rangers fans had to endure a few difficulties last season and the start to this campaign hasn’t been very good after their Europa League defeat to Luxembourg minnows Progres Niederkorn.

So they’ll be hoping that players like Kranjcar, with the numerous new additions like Bruno Alves and Eduardo Herrera, can find some consistent form to mount a challenge in the league and in the cups.
