Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku played five-a-side together in Los Angeles this week – at the same time the latter was linked with a move to the former’s club.
The Belgian striker has been regularly linked with Manchester United and Chelsea so far this summer and, at a time, his old Stamford Bridge club looked favourites to get his signature.
But the BBC reported yesterday that United had actually agreed a £75million deal with Everton to sign Lukaku – and that’s got supporters excited.
While a deal hasn’t been completed, it looks close and fans will be buoyed by the regular pictures posted to social media of Pogba and Lukaku enjoying some downtime together in America.
Alongside the pictures, the pair were also filmed enjoying a game of five-a-side:
As you can see, the game attracted quite the crowd at UrbanSoccer 5 Centre in LA – and Pogba made sure they were entertained:
Maybe Pogba and Lukaku will be linking up in training and in games for United in the future?
Jose Mourinho’s men are due to fly out on their pre-season tour of the US on Sunday and the hope will be that Lukaku is wearing their training kit on the plane.
