The Spanish striker is on the verge of completing a reported £60million move to Stamford Bridge after the club announced they’d agreed a fee with the European champions last night.
His announcement is just a formality – so his soon-to-be old teammates made sure to say goodbye properly as he left their US training camp to sign for the Premier League title winners.
Several have been paying tribute to Morata on social media and now Madrid have shared a video on Twitter which shows him saying goodbye.
Some players stopped what they were doing to hug Morata while the rest joined in a round of applause for the striker:
This is how Morata bid farewell to the Real Madrid players and coaching staff.

While it’ll be sad for those involved with Madrid, it’ll be good to see for Chelsea supporters to see how popular he is with his teammates.
His signing will be a big boost for the Blues just days after Antonio Conte’s contract extension was announced.
It’s been a summer of uncertainty at Stamford Bridge, with Conte believed to be unhappy about the lack of transfer activity.
But Antonio Rudiger has already arrived and it looks unlikely that Morata will be the last bit of business Chelsea do before the transfer window closes.
